Congratulations and Good luck to Tolworth Red boys Team, Chris Best, Chris Luscombe, Mike Cobb, Martin Ashton, Darren Steward, Lee Streeter, Daniel Penn and John Wells. They have won their division and are through to the nationwide finals, which are being held at Tamworth. This is the first time Tolworth have had a team in the final. Our new experience will happen on Sunday 9th June.

Several of our junior’s take part in the Southern Bowlers Club held at Enfield Bowl. Round One was played over the weekend of 9th and 10th February.
Daniel Edwards went through each cut and finished third, being knocked out in the stepladder.
Round 2 took place over the weekend of 13th and 14th April. Another successful tournament for some of the Tolworth Junior boys as Darren Steward was 9th. Chris went into the stepladder final having just bowled his last two games of 208 and 233 regaining his first place, which took him into the stepladder final. He played Garry Sykes who bowled a 232 and Chris just lost to him bowling a 201, very unlucky Chris but a very good tournament average of 198.9. Well done.
Round three, the final one
for this season takes place over the weekend of 29th and 30th
June. Good
Luck
This is the time for the Young Ones league teams to be sorted out for next season, so if you are going to change teams get yourself organised now!

Surrey Area Championships
There were some very impressive scores being recorded and when
you look at the overall sheet for the All Events with handicap you will see 3

was John Wells with 1901 and 12th was Dan Penn with
1895. These three boys also made it
through to the first round of the Surrey Area Masters Event, losing to people
such as
Jo Harries, Barry Eason
and Peter Cornwell.
It was great to see our
League Secretaries, Coaches/Instructors and YBC Secretary taking part, they
were not going to be out done. Shona
Louvel bowling with Tricia (mum/instructor) bowled a 524 series in the doubles
and finished 2nd.

with No Fear (Mike Cobb, Dan Penn, Daz Steward, John Wells and Chris Luscombe)

Cracker Surprise took
the first game by 7 pins, No Fear took the next by 15, 8 the difference going
into the last game – No Fear took the last by 39 taking the overall by just 26
including the handicaps. They finished
5th and 6th respectfully. Bob Steward’s team finished 2nd we said our officials
gave us a run for our money!
